What are your qualifications to be a counselor?

Bachelor of Science degree from UM-Flint in Clinical/Community Psychology, 1992. 

Masters degree in Counseling, Oakland University, 1997.

Have been certified to use the popular Prepare/Enrich marital and premarital programs for twenty years.

I have received training in the following couples therapy modalities:

*Prepare-Enrich

*Gottman-Informed Couples Therapy

*Emotion-Focused Therapy

*Imago Therapy

I have been passionate about working with couples since 1997 and have extensive experience with couples, families, and teens.

I have also received advanced training in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in treating anxiety, depression, meaning/purpose issues, and a host of other issues, but now work exclusively with couples, and with individuals having relationship problems.
